     I am a classically trained chef and restaurant manager. I love trying out new food, restaurants, distilleries and breweries to sample the local fair.  My love of food started when I was much younger under the care of my grandmother, who handled a majority of the cooking for our family.  I would spend many days and nights in the kitchen with her listening to her stories of growing up and how some of the food brings back memories of her own childhood.  Eventually, I graduated from small kitchen projects to cooking grilled cheeses and scrambled eggs before moving on to full meals.  I didn’t initially pursue my interest in food and the culinary arts, instead going to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. 

     I would eventually go on to hone my culinary craft at the Culinary Institute of America, where I earned degrees in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management.  Over the years, as I explored food and various techniques I also found interest in Molecular Gastronomy, marrying my science and culinary backgrounds together. And of random note, I also love video games and anime so don’t be surprised if they show up randomly in my blog.
